The Indigenous Advancement Strategy (IAS) is one way the Australian government funds and delivers programs for Indigenous Australians.
The IAS contributes to the Agency’s Outcome 1: Indigenous – Improve results for Indigenous Australians, including in relation to school attendance, employment and community safety, through delivering services and programs, and through measures that recognise the special place that Indigenous people hold in this Nation.
The IAS contributes to Closing the Gap (CtG) between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians by providing grant funding for activities that address areas of need for Indigenous Australians that align with CtG targets.
