Changing from compliance dominance to business advisory services
Business Advisory Services Update
One of the current trends in the Australian market affecting accountants and SMEs is the digitalisation, robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which will simplify basic compliance production. The ATO is driving this hard, so are banks and software providers.
It is predicted that the amount of basic compliance work will contract. However, SME clients need help to grow profitably and survive.
Furthermore, accounting team members want “interesting work”.
Few questions for accountants to consider:
- Are you caught in a compliance trap?
- Too many small clients unwilling to pay more?
- Not enough experienced team members to help?
- Working long hours under pressure? Is it real? Or of your own making?
- What would you like to do with your working life?
Want to know more? Andrew Geddes discussed these matters in the recent episode of ESS BIZTOOLS Business Advisory Services Podcast.
