LIBRARIES HELP COMMUNICATE ADVISORY SERVICES
I started to develop a Library on matters that I thought that business operators might be interested in many years ago. I think it would be very difficult to deliver Advisory Services to SMEs if you did not have access to a “Library of Information” that SMEs might be interested in.
My interest in developing a Library started when I moved from an Accounting Firm into a Public Company and found that even though the Listed Public Company had been operating for fifty years, the accounting personnel that I was responsible for as the Chief Financial Officer had limited knowledge on our industry and company.
When I went back into accounting as senior partner of a firm I added additional material to the library which subsequently become known as the ESS BIZTOOLS Library.
This is the Library that if you become a member of ESS BIZTOOLS you will have access to download and badge papers to utilise in team training and to supply to your clients.
How often you will use the Library I don’t know but I can be very confident that you will use it fairly regularly to communicate with clients. One of our original members was very fond of our paper on “Discretionary Trusts” (Paper 003-020) because he admitted that he had difficulty in explaining the components of Discretionary Trusts previously.

We review papers during the year and obviously produce new ones whenever something changes for SMEs.
I would like you to have the opportunity of reading a couple of our papers so that you can obtain an idea of how we go about producing this material to help you as an Accountant or Bookkeeper to deliver “Advisory Services” to your SME clients.
