There is now SME market awareness that accountants can provide services beyond taxation, including Chief Financial Officer Services.
SME managers encounter numerous problems every day which, in a larger business, the CEO would be able to request the business’ in-house Chief Financial Officer give input and advice. Most SMEs do not have the luxury of having a qualified accountants on hand to assist with these “what if” questions that can cause a lot of concern for the CEOs.
Accountants are trained in a wide range of business matters and I think it is great that many SMEs are gaining a greater appreciation of the additional “commercial services” that an accountant can provide on a “virtual basis”.
