Now Is The Time To Diversify

Accountant's Minute 271

The CommBank Accounting Market Pulse Report released 3.1/2 weeks ago identified that, from the surveys that they had conducted with accountants all over Australia, only 5% of those firms “would not be diversifying services in the next 12 – 18 months”.  These firms were from the group that the CommBank report identified as “lagging firms”.

The firms which the CommBank referred to as “leading firms” indicated that they would all be undertaking diversified activities during the next 12 – 18 months.

A staggering 90% of the “leading firms” indicated that they would be undertaking organic growth, which involves expansion by “expanding their product range”.

67% of the “leading firms” identified that they would be developing new services in the next 12 – 18 months.

The actual new services that these firms are going to offer were not identified, but could include:

Communicating With Your Clients Is Very Important

Our theme for our promotional videos over the last week was “Funding for Business Innovation”.

  • For many people initial research is where they commence their business journey. If their research is serious and they identify the potential for developing new products or services, they can be eligible for government assistance.
  • Businesses that have undertaken research activities and have lodged claims under the Research and Development Tax Incentive Rebate could then be interested in understanding how the special status company known as “Early Stage Innovation Company” operates.

  • The Accounting Market Report released 3 weeks ago identified that 43% of “leading firms” have identified that “risk management is a significant growth area for their firms over the next 12 – 18 months”.
